Mr. Shagaya holds an M.Sc. in Management of Science, Technology, and Innovation from the University of Manchester Business School and a B.Sc. in Information Management and Business Strategy from the University of Sheffield. He has further enhanced his expertise through certifications such as Project Planning and Solar Training.

He is a highly accomplished professional in the field of Project Management, with a distinguished career spanning over two decades in National Systems of Innovation, Renewable Energy, and Prefabricated Building Systems and has made significant contributions to the public and private sectors in Nigeria.

His career journey showcases a range of notable achievements and leadership roles. As the Founder of Asolar Systems Nigeria, he has played a pivotal role in establishing the largest indigenous solar company in Nigeria. He is also the Chairman of KARMOD Nigeria Limited, a company that provides prefabricated technologies, offering a wide range of products including housing units, steel structures, offices, flat pack containers, schools, clinics, and security agencies. He has successfully executed numerous high-profile projects including accommodation for UN Peacekeeping Troops and the deployment of solar-powered classrooms for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

In the public sector, he has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Honorable Minister of FCT on Public Private Partnerships where he played a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of potential PPP transactions within the FCT administration. He was also a member of the Presidential Committee on Technology Transfer where he was actively involved in shaping policies and initiatives that promote technology transfer and innovation within Nigeria.

He has also served in other capacities such as a Non-Executive Director at Unity Bank PLC where he actively participated in key committees, including Information Technology, Finance and General Purpose, Appointment and Compensation, and Credit Committees.
